Etiquette
I. The golden rule; treat others the way you want to be treated. Treat everyone with equal respect and politeness, and you can expect them to act as such towards you. Acting like a jerk will get you nowhere on this forum, or on any of the clan sites.
II. Don't flood. Having more than four of the same character in a row is considered flooding. There is no need to have five of anything anywhere.
III. Listen to staff members. If a staff member asks you to do something within reason listen to them. Talking back can lead to a ban. Depending on the seriousness of your behavior the ban can last a day or more.
If you see someone abusing their moderating powers let me know personally. If you lie about this I will find out and there will be consequences.
IV. Do not spam or troll. Spamming is when you post something that obviously isn't where it should be. For example, making a topic called 'Chicken' on a clan board and filling it with random numbers.
Trolling is when you make a thread intended to start a flame war, lie about your identity (don't do this, we can see your IP address), or make a habit of being rude.
V. Keep all chatspeak to a minimum. It's fine in the cbox or out of character areas, but it can be annoying if used in excess.
Never, ever, everevereverever, use chatspeak in character.
VI. Do not ask or beg for a staff position.
VII. Respect other people's beliefs. Religious, political, or otherwise. I don't want people to be discussing religion or politics very much. It just ends up causing problems, and this isn't a deep discussion sort of forum.
In Character
I. There is no word minimum. However, I ask that every post is three lines (not sentences-- lines). Anything less must be edited to meet this requirement.
II. II. Absolutely no chatspeak in posts, unless in OOC. Frankly it just makes you look stupid.
III. Use proper punctuation, capitalization, and spelling. I can understand a few grammatical errors, but there is a spellcheck button. You won't get in trouble for not following this rule, it's meant as a guideline. But please check your posts over.
IV. Dialogue goes in quotes, no exceptions. If you want to bold your dialogue that's fine-- It still goes in quotes.
- Please do not change the color of your font.
Signatures
I. Do not steal images. All images must be under the creative commons license and credit must be given where due. You can find CC images by using this search engine on flickr.
II. Images may have a width no longer than 600px wide and may be no taller than 500px in height.
III. You may set up your own signature studio in the Art board. You may also create image request threads.
Maturity
I. The site is Pg-Pg13. This means no: graphic breedings, foul langauge, or extreme violence.
II. During battles and clan scuffles there will be violence. If you're offended by such things just participate in such events.
III. Don't use vulgar language. Warrior cats don't even know these words (hence why they use terms such as 'Mousedung').
Bios
I. When creating a bio be descriptive as possible. Each clan leader will have different requirements for bios, but it's still good to go a little above and beyond.
II. Keep cats realistic. No red glowing eyes (unless albino), no purple tabbies, and no wings.
Also, if you choose to include a history for your character don't add anything ridiculous like m*censored*ive genocide.
Within a Clan
I. Leaders are essentially admins of their clan. You must listen to them as you would any staff member.
II. Leaders may make rules on post length and bio quality within their clan. If it's totally unreasonable the leader will be asked to change it.
III. In order to become a leader there will usually be a contest, and the winner will be chosen by an admin or another staff member.
IV. Unless it's said otherwise important ranks other than leader (deputy, medicine cat, med. cat apprentice) can be accepted or declined by the leader of the clan. No contest is held.
If you've read the rules please put 'Warrior Code' somewhere in your bio.
